Nordic Sputnik Chandelier

The Paragon Nordic Sputnik Chandelier takes the classic mid-century starburst and strips it back to matte black arms and clean sockets. Available with four, six or eight heads, it is a light fixture that suits a modern interior without tipping into novelty. The arms radiate at fixed angles, so the piece looks intentional from every side, including from the stairs above it.

Because the sockets face outward and slightly upward, the fixture bounces light off the ceiling as well as down into the room. That gives you softer, more diffuse home lighting than a downward-only pendant, which is why sputnik designs work so well in living rooms and open-plan spaces. Fit clear globe bulbs to show off the geometry, or frosted lamps if you want the light without the sparkle.

Bulbs are not included, so you can match the colour temperature to your existing ceiling lights rather than accepting whatever the factory chose. The canopy is compact and the drop is adjustable at installation, letting the chandelier sit tight to a low ceiling or hang lower over a table. Arms are pre-set at the factory, so assembly is a matter of fitting the canopy and wiring in. Paragon includes the canopy, fixings and instructions in the box.
